{ sense of achievement }

Today is our graduation. I am not feeling alright.

My family are all here for me, all the way from Malaysia with total of 12 hours of wait in the terminal. Idiot me, why should not I appreciate them. Why should I care so much about people who do not appreciate me at all?

I can't feel any sense of achievement and fulfillment.

"Thank you tiffany! thank you so much for doing such a nice and wonderful degree project!" So firm on shaking my hand, the sincerity that was so true. I don't really know why does he need to thank me. I could not really think at that moment. I tried so hard to be proud of what I did but I could not help anymore, by breaking down and cried. (*You know, when you are alone and about to cry, but holding there, and someone turns up and walk to you, hold your hands and concern about you, that kind of feeling.) Really, I didnt mean to look bad or try to grab attention. It was very ugly on me i know.

He said: "Are you alright?" I said yes I am, yea, I dont look like. I tried to say something else, "You are a good actor" (featured in a video). Guess what respond i got? "THIS IS WHAT WE NEED TO DO" he replied. Again, it was touching my heart. By the time I met some people that made me realise the ugliness of human. Complexity of emotion, disappointment of false hope from people on the happy and honoured graduation day for my family and myself. What should i do?

Here, I went to the after party, He said: "it's too bad, your friends are judging you too hard. Everyone is looking so good. He told me that I should be enjoying my graduation. I should be damn happy, and what i need to do is to bring my family to a good dinner. Thank you for talking to me like a friend. You know I won't forget about this short (not really) but true conversation, that allowed me to open up my heart, at the time that i really need someone to talk to.

so calm

I was alone by myself in the school at night, was not facing the computer screen, I was drawing my own world on an A3 paper, with pencil, i felt so calm, so good, I never realized this can be so good when I am drawing. I do agree if people say that i am too imaginative, yet, it doesn't mean that I am dreaming, and I still living in reality. It is not a bad thing for being yourself isn't it?

{ wellington.2nd visit }

Easter Weekend. We got ourselves in Wellington, with 3 cars. 10 of us.

Xbase - the back packers place. Good one. New and clean and it just cost us 23dollars a night for a room of four.

On the way back to Wanganui. The best part was the way back home, sea at the left side, mountains at the right side.

{ for my buddy }

I took this picture by chance, when I was looking at it, I knew this is something meant for you on this day. You know who you are.

I don't know what is the thing that is holding this "buddyship" between us, not so close yet so close? Everyone has someone in life that you know who you can count on whenever you need someone, especially when you have no clue of what to do, upset in life, still you will tell this person everything honestly. I am thankful that I have such a friend like this.

Happy Birthday is something too cliche to say to you because you know sometimes, something could be just understood without saying anything. This might not be your best birthday present ever, hopefully you get how sincere am I, to this "buddyship".

{ wanganui heritage weekend }

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today we were walking down to the town, we saw some unusual events, people dressed up in old english garment. It is Wanganui Heritage Weekend, so fun to see children and people around dressing up and walk along Victorian Avenue, like a family day for the whole Wanganui.

wanganui riverWanganui River - There is a saying "From the mountain to the sea, I am the river and the river is me". This river seems very important to the Wanganui Maori people. And yes, this is a partial overview of Wanganui.

staircase & windowthe durie hill tower
it is just longsimply maori
top left: staircases going up to The Durie Hill Tower, that offers fine views over Wanganui.

bottom: Tunnel after the Durie Hill Elevator, and we got to see some maori carvings along the other end of tunnel. The only earthbound elevator in New Zealand and one of only two in the world.

Later on we went to Kai Iwi, beach side with black sand, they are shinny black sand which I couldn't stop looking at them, but they were shinny and blinking too fast that made my camera couldn't capture any of them.

Last but not least, Virginia Lake, for the second visit. A must visit spot in Wanganui?

How could I forget about this? I can't believe that.
Look what they have did to the poor cow? Painted him in blue? No I was not brave enough put on the "thing" on them. no. I don't know why. May be they are to pityful? We have merry-go-around, but this machine that pushing them go around without merry music, fancy lights and just work for letting out the milk. Yeah, before Kai Iwi, we went to the farm. It was my mistake.

{ the first month }

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
it is real
Today is my 30th day in Wanganui. Everything went fine. To me, it is a day for me to remember, becuase I woke up unusually early and I saw the dawn is celebrating my first month in New Zealand. This view from my room's window, told me to keep on going to do what I love to do, with a sincere heart, and I will see flying colors like this in my life.

YEah, first time made again, we have tried our best. Don't laugh if u think it doesn't look like something sweeeeet and nice to drink. It is, famous "healthy" drink in malaysian restaurants, barley with "fu chuk" - sliced dried soya bean ? I don't know what it called in english.

{ a working day }

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Apart from the ice cream treat, I did work hard for my first video assignment. I went shooting in the Winter Garden, Virginia Lake. For the title of my first video in New Zealand, I see colors. Basic video - one of my electives. Electives subjects to me are something leisure to do from the stressed-out course, it is like titbits that add spice in life. Another elective that I am taking is Graphics for Fashion, good for me to do something which is totally not related to time based. I am having fun doing that, studies about fashion, photography, magazine and lil bit of publication and almost everything has do to with style & fashion, that changes constantly. We are having a field trip to Wellington in 2 weeks time!

I have chose some photographs that I took in the Winter Garden. Coincidently, they are thematically in green, let's dedicate this to anyone who likes green here. I hope my parents enjoy and love these pictures, because they are gardening freak, to me :P

hokey pokeycookies'n'cream
Finally, I had my first ice cream in New Zealand after these days. My first ice cream flavour choice was certainly dedicated to HOKEY POKEY, one of New Zealand famous trade mark, followed by the ALL BLACKS or SILVER FERN, i think. They have everything with hokey pokey flavour - something has to do with honey. Guess what, in the end of the day, I've got another ice cream treat! That was, cookies 'n' cream, and it was 1 dollar only. I was being too pampered, but I am thankful to what I had have.

thank you to my ice cream provider of the day ;P

{ a morning trip to Palmerston North }

A lecturer from Malaysia was being so kind to bring 12 of us to Palmerston North morning market. With all fresh fruits and vegetables at quite cheap price. We had to get us out of Wanganui at 8am sharp in the morning, so that we could be able to catch the morning market about 74km away. We had bought 4 dollars for 25 apples, and many more.

The part that i enjoyed most wasn't at the shopping in market. I did the must thing that everyone should do in New Zealand. We saw cows and sheeps, all the way along the roadsides to Palmy.

They were so cute and nice, because they knew we are taking photos of them, and they were willing to come abit forward and line up nicely and look into the camera!

{ my first quake experience }

In the early 9th day in Wanganui, we were having a chit chat session around 1am morning. QUAKE happened. I did not know that was a quake until it took 5 seconds to end and my mates said it was a minor quake. We were stoned at that moment, I was hesitating whether should I scream or run or what, but I did not dare to make a move.

Nothing was being moved either from the wall or anywhere, we were just shocked, and it was our first time experience in life. Quite surprised and abit scared, but after all we cracked that into jokes again, because all of our face expression were funny.

was that a funny quake, mate ?

{ valentine's after shock}

We thought we just want a simple dinner after school. SO, we cooked, and it turned out like a 3 person valentine's special set dinner. Aren't they look sweet?

{ this valentine's day }

There is no valentine's day mood for us here, but still, we are not neglecting this commercialized event.

We had a drinking session to celebrate our valentine's day at sharp 12am in our student flats, it was quite fun. We drank + joke + had a cadbury "THREE WISHES" chocolate + craps. Well, that's all and we have class at 8am in the morning :)

happy sweet valentine's day, not just for lovers, but friends, treasure of life.

{ first "dinner", proper one }

nice preparationboilingjust after messedfinally
It was our first proper dinner in Wanganui. Most of us were in fact didn't eat well and sleep well, and today we finally have the urge of making ourselve feel home.

We had mashed potatoes, mix vegetable, fried cheese and chicken sausages, chicken and potatoes. We had some problems with the chicken and potatoes earlier, we didn't understand how could it be tasted awfully bitter, then we were trying out ways to solve it. Yeah, of course, I don't really know how to cook, I didn't have the talent to solve it, there were some other mates. In the end, it turned out good though. There were 11 of us preparing this dinner and we had fun. It is all about team work and fun, you see.

It was not an expensive dinner, but the joyous of flat attack war in the kitchen and friendship that made this happened was priceless.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
don't worry, look, we take good care of ourselves.
